What’s new on the farm

Even though we are in Virginia, we have had some chances to see the Aurora Borealis lately. The colors at night have been amazing.

We would like to welcome Finn, Saki and Crimson to the farm. These registered “mini” Herefords are not the crazy mini cows you see on the web, they are the size that Herefords originally were meant to be. Finn (bull) stands 48 inches at the hips and the 2 cows can be a maximum of 45 inches at the hips. Herefords are know for being much calmer than some of the other beef breeds and so far they are living up to their reputation, already coming to see us when we go near the barn or pasture.

We would love to have you visit and see our beautiful slice of heaven in the Blue Ridge Mountains.. Spend time with us and then go visit historic downtown Lexington or go hike the trail at Natural Bridge State Park.
